Throughout 2007, we helped Dr. John C. Abbott develop a new version of OdonataCentral, which he describes as a A Model for the Web-based Delivery of Natural History Information and Citizen Science. Ever wanted to plot the distribution of Acanthagrion quadratum in Texas with the Google Maps API? With OdonataCentral, you can.
Officially launched in September of 2007, the latest version of the dragonfly-centric site features photo galleries, field guides, maps, publication management, county checklists, and a plethora of other features. Check it out!
Soon we will be working with the Texas Memorial Museum to create a similar site which focuses on Protists, which are unicellular eukaryotic organisms, in case you didn’t know.
