In Fall 2007, we worked with Brains on Fire (an identity company based in Greenville, SC) to create a new website for Jason’s Deli. The site is powered by Drupal, an open source content management system that we customized to work with data from OrderTalk, an online ordering system. Couple this with some beautiful graphics from Brains on Fire, an online magazine, and Flickr and YouTube integration, and you’ve got one of the best restaurant websites in the world.
The new site officially launched on Saturday, October 27th. Check it out! Be sure to order a “Reuben the Great” sandwich online and have it delivered to your door.

The new Sephira Software site was officially launched on October 20th, 2007 — and it’s a beauty. It has a brand new design and features a sampling of the variety of projects that Josh and I have worked on over the past several years. Check it out!
While we’re talking about it, if you need some software developed and can afford our rate of $95 an hour, shoot us an email and we’ll help you out. We’re pretty booked for the next 3-6 months, but we’re always willing to discuss new projects.

It turns out that I really like caves. Ashley took me to both Crystal Caverns and Natural Bridge Caverns the last couple of weekends. I’m no spelunking expert, but the formations in the caves were beautiful. We liked Natural Bridge Caverns a bit better as the formations were more impressive and the tour guide was more knowledgeable. We’ll probably hit Inner Space Cavern sometime soon, as it’s in Austin and I still haven’t been there. I took quite a few pictures at Natural Bridge Caverns, which you can see here, but wasn’t able to capture its full awesomeness.

So apparently we have a model among us. Our buddy Sara got invited to do some modelling for a fashion show that was organized by GOOD Magazine. The show had an environmentalist/sustainable hippie theme to it, and everyone was wearing 100% recycled-hemp organic-pesticide-free clothing from local stores — well, not exactly, but you know what I mean. Even though I’m not a clothing enthusiast, the show was a lot of fun, and it’s always nice to go down to South Congress and hang out. Later we all went to the Continental Club lounge where Louis and I got spanked by some girl in ping-pong. She got lucky.

Method Man of the Wu Tang Clan returned to Austin on September 26th and played a free show at the Texas Union. As usual, he put on a stellar performance, as he dove into the crowd and climbed on top of speakers while performing classics like “Bring The Pain”, “Method Man”, and “Wu-Tang Clan Ain’t Nuthing Ta F’ Wit”. He brings more energy than any other hip-hop artist, with the exception of maybe KRS-One. At one point, he even rapped while standing on top of the crowd. Awesome.
