About

Hey, thanks for visiting my personal web page. This page is mostly an archive of various life fragments, photos, and videos I have taken at places I've been and events I've attended.

You May Ask Yourself, How Did I Get Here

I spent the early years of my life in a Texas oil town called Baytown, home of the largest oil refinery in the United States. Later I moved to Austin, TX, where I met lifelong friends and formed many great memories. I graduated from the University of Texas at Austin in 2004 with a BS in Electrical Engineering and a BA in Philosophy. After working for the university for a couple of years as a mainframe programmer, I started Sephira Software LLC with my friend Josh in March 2006. We got our first dollar from consulting later that year and I quit my job to work on it full-time. Since then, Sephira Software has worked on projects in the areas of online gaming, film, bioinformatics, food and beverage, music, apparel, oil and gas, geographic information systems, developer tools, and more.

In 2008, I got married to Ashley, who finished grad school in 2007 and is now a Speech Pathologist. We met at the Pearl St. Co-op, where we both lived during our senior year of undergrad at UT-Austin. In 2011, we were ready for a change -- so we sold all of our stuff and moved to Portland, Oregon. We took a 3,000 mile road trip to get here, visiting 6 national parks in 8 states along the way. It was a big jump, but we landed on our feet and have been having a blast in the Pacific Northwest.
